I am not crazy about pictures of myself, but the north rim view of Canyon de Chilly is worth having a person blocking it. Now if I could capture the “Oh my!” factor of this view on the canvas then I would have something. I just need to keep trying.

I came to the painting party late. I taught high school journalism and computers for 23 years where we had an award winning yearbook. Yes, I am a yearbook nerd. I retired from public education in Colorado, and my husband, daughter and I bought and ran a school sports photography business. Along with the business, I signed on as an adjunct instructor at San Juan College in Farmington, New Mexico. I took advantage of the free classes faculty members could take and the rest is history. Bill Hatch, my instructor, mentor and friend pointed me in the right direction and I was off. Oh yeah, if you haven’t figure it out - I love color.
